The Harrismith police station in the Free State has been closed after a member tested positive for Covid-19.
This adds to the number of police stations in the province that have had to endure such repercussions due to the virus. Free State police spokesperson Sam Makhele tells OFM News that the said police station will temporarily continue to operate from the Detective Offices at the corner of Piet Uys and Stuart Streets.
Members of the community are encouraged to contact the following numbers during this closure: 058 624 1600 and the Station Commander, Colonel Sanyaka, can be contacted at 082 455 6133. Makhele concluded that the acting Provincial Commissioner of the Free State and management wishes to apologise for any inconvenience caused by this closure.
