Serious accident claims life in Sasolburg - child critical─── 11:52 Fri, 22 May 2015
Sasolburg - A man died and a two year old child sustained critical injuries in a collision on the R59 and DF Malan Drive intersection in Sasolburg.
ER24 spokesperson, Chitra Bodasing, says the child and man were ejected out of the vehicle they were in during a collision with a truck.
Paramedics found the child and man several metres away from the vehicle they were travelling in. The man was declared dead at the scene.
The child, a little girl, sustained critical injuries and was airlifted to hospital. A woman travelling in the same vehicle sustained moderate injuries.
She was treated and transported to hospital by ambulance. The exact cause of the collision is unknown.
