What is new in Farmer’s Weekly?─── CHRISTAL-LIZE MULLER 06:29 Fri, 02 Aug 2019
In our Friday insert, only on Before Dawn, OFM News’ Christal-Lize Muller speaks to Denine Erasmus, editor of Farmer's Weekly about what to expect in their latest edition.
Erasmus focuses on the 9 August issue of Farmer’s Weekly, in which the magazine reports on Namibia experiencing crippling drought conditions, but is getting support from its government by exempting animal feed from VAT. In another news story, the magazine reports on the local red meat industry which can now resume meat exports to China, after the Chinese government officially lifted the ban last month. Cloven-hoofed animals and related products from South Africa can now be exported to China. This comes after South Africa lost its status recognised by the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) as an FMD-free zone. The magazine also focuses on the land reform panel report that was released at the weekend.
