Colder conditions continues, with no rain in some areas─── CHRISTAL-LIZE MULLER 07:54 Wed, 25 Sep 2019
The current drop in temperatures in some parts of the central interior are expected to continue until later this week, especially in some areas in the Free State.
A forecaster at the South African Weather Service's Bloemfontein office, Michael Nethavhani, says a frontal system is moving from the Western Cape through the central interior causing a significant drop in temperatures and a south westerly wind. These conditions are expected to continue today, especially in the southern Free State and the eastern part of the province, around the Lesotho border.
There is a 30% chance of thundershowers in the eastern parts while other areas in the province can expect temperatures to increase somewhat on Wednesday. With that said, the chance of rain in most of the central interior on the longer term, including the next two weeks, is slim, says Nethavhani.
