A youth-led entity, that seeks to redefine agricultural living, believe in the future of agriculture and hope to establish themselves in the industry, farming on their own land.

Co-founder of the Amara Neema AgriTech Group, ANAT, Simphiwe Kahla, says he and his partners, Faith Tlaletsi and Sabata Segoba, decided to join forces because they were always passionate about farming. Their passion became a reality after they attended an auction by the Sernick Group after which ANAT was born and became part of Sernick’s Emerging Farmer Programme. He says through this programme he gained a lot of experience and hopes that the group can soon farm on their own land. ANAT is also hosting its first-ever Farmers Indaba in the Free State early next month.

Kahla says the group still needs to acquire land, but in terms of experience gained they are hopeful about the future and hope to focus on farming with livestock which includes piggeries, crops and cannabis as well as other agricultural supplies.)

Die Farmers Indaba vind volgende Vrydag in Sasolburg plaas. Toegang is gratis. Besoek die ANAT GROUP se Facebook-blad vir meer inligting.
