Due to the extension of the lockdown as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, the magazine has pushed its publication date for the first issue of May, to May 15. The issue will be available on shelves on May 18.

The next two issues of May 1 and May 8 will, however, be published digitally in order for all readers to have access to the magazine. These issues will be available on the magazine's website free off charge. She says the issues will be on the magazine's regular digital platforms.

The first issue is available online as of today. In this issue the focus still falls on stories and updates on how the coronavirus has been affecting the agricultural industry and the food supply chain. Erasmus says in this issue there is an update about the wine industry, which has had a rocky road since the lockdown.

In another story the whole debacle on livestock auctions is covered with a full view on what has been happening in that regard. She says there is still a lot of uncertainty about the issue which is believed to be caused by the way the Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development has been communicating on auctions.

There are more industry-specific stories in this issue looking at the avocado industry and how marketing has been affected by the pandemic. In the citrus industry there is good news regarding a strong demand for citrus exports.
