See PODCAST below
She speaks about the July 24 issue and highlights stories in the news section which includes some concern about mysterious elephant deaths in Botswana. Environmentalists are looking into what the cause was of the deaths of a number of elephants, because at this stage there is still no idea why these animals have died. In another story the cancellation of the Nampo Harvest Day is highlighted and the losses it will mean for the community of Bothaville - especially those community members who annually provide accommodation to visitors to Nampo and who cater for everyone.
She also takes a look at food price inflation volatility which is expected to continue in the short term as consumers remain under heavy pressure.
There is also a story about the latest tractor sale report. Tractor sales are still trending up slightly compared to sales of last year. However, the weak Rand could dampen future trade. The industry says it is most likely that farmers are still making use of lower prices of the current stock available in the country.
There is also an article about electricity price increases and the affect it will have on farmers in the country. The tobacco ban and its impact on tobacco farmers are also highlighted.
