Farmers are expecting a record export year, despite all the challenges and setbacks they faced with the coronavirus disease.

In another story, there is an article looking at elephant deaths in Botswana. Scientists are hoping they are getting closer to an answer about what might have caused the sudden deaths of large numbers of elephants. The cause might be due to a natural toxin present in the water, but there is not a definitive answer yet. 

There is above normal rainfall expected for the second part of the winter season in the Western Cape which is very good news for winter grain farmers. 

In another story, the magazine looks at some investments that have been made by international companies in boosting South African small farmers' access to technology.
