Love for heritage, local products land Free State man a job─── 14:37 Thu, 23 Nov 2023

“The shoes are also a good choice for tourists as they walk long distances and climb to the higher mountains.”
After scooping two awards, the Golden Shoe Heritage and Gold Medal from the Heritage Association of South Africa in 2018, Twin Mosia won the heart of one of the shoe brands.
Mosia, who hails from Mamafubedu, Petrus Steyn, in the eastern Free State (Nketoana Local Municipality) became a hero and eventually secured himself a job at the Veldskoen shoe brand in the same year.
He worked for the brand as an ambassador after showing a love for heritage and its products.
Later on, he went to different places such as Amsterdam, Zurich, and down to the equator in Africa where he never thought that he would land his foot one day. "The love of heritage took me to the places that I wished to visit one day and for me, that was a dream come true," said Mosia.

The father of one added that his love of this brand came after noticing that most of the areas in the Free State have mountains and strong shoes like Veldskoen shoes will fit like a glove in hand. "I was interested in this brand due to its surface, especially for being used by the farmers as they need strong shoes like this. The shoes are also a good choice for tourists as they walk long distances and climb to the higher mountains," said Mosia.
He mentioned that the brand has lately produced the Drakensberg model, which is mostly liked by the tourists who come from in and around the country. Again, earlier the brand had only one model, but now, the sandals, gumboots, and summer shoes are available across the continent.
‘He worked for the brand as an ambassador’
Twin is proud that he joined this massive brand only two years after being established. Today the brand is expanding all over the world and many people have started to follow it according to its strong build.
He concluded by thanking all the people who showed their love for the Veldskoen shoe brand as it keeps making curiosities across the country.
