Bloemfontein. - The Free State cricket team will be strengthened by the presence of former Protea allrounder, Johan van der Wath, for their three day and limited overs
matches against Namibia that will be played at the Outsurance Oval here from tomorrow until Sunday.
Van der Wath played for Northamptonshire in England during the County season. He wasn't able to play for the Free State or the Diamond Eagles the last two seasons after playing in the Indian Cricket League. Free State coach, Rudi Steyn, selected seam bowlers Remano Terblanche, Gino Vries, Lyndon Volkwyn, Sylvester Motsamai, Martin Venter, Obus Pienaar and Van der Wath in his squad from which the team for the matches will be chosen.
Patrick Botha who made his first class debut last week against North West is the son of former Free State player Terry Botha. His brother Graham Botha also played for the Free State.
