Springbok - More than a thousand residents of Springbok in the Northern Cape are expected to march to the NamaKhoi local municipality offices this morning.
Newly appointed ANC NamaKhoi Speaker Lorenzo Faber says residents are marching against poor service delivery and the misuse of taxpayers' money.
He says the governing DA/Cope coalition has spent more than R1.3 million taking the ANC to court.
Faber says in the latest incident last week, the coalition approached the court for an urgent application to declare his appointment null and void.
He says the matter will be heard on September 30th.
Faber says the ANC itself lodged a court application which if approved on Friday will allow it to make council decisions and he will remain the Speaker.
Faber says the ANC itself lodged a court application which if approved on Friday will allow it to make council decisions and he will remain the Speaker.
He says the council has nine ANC councillors while the DA/Cope coalition has eight.
