Virginia - A 53-year-old woman from Virginia was murdered by a man in an alleged domestic dispute last night.
Free State police spokesperson, Mamello Mokhuoane, says the deceased, Kathy Engelbrecht, was hit with a steel pipe over the head at a house in Merriespruit at around 18:00.
Mokhuoane says the man had a restraining order against Engelbrecht and she was therefore not allowed at the house where the incident took place. Mokhuoane says she was declared dead at the scene.
The 52-year-old man was arrested and he will face a murder charge in the Welkom Magistrate’s court on Monday.
