Bloemfontein - The three children of a woman who was shot dead by her ex-husband, singer Zirk Bergh (36), have been taken to a place of safety.
Nicolette du Rand (26) died in a hospital in Johannesburg last night, after she was shot in the head on Saturday.
Bergh committed suicide after the incident outside the offices of the Suid-Afrikaanse Vrouefederasie, during which social worker Deon Kondos (23) was killed and Nicolette's husband, Charl du Rand (34) was injured.
Charl later died of his injuries in hospital.
Bergh had been due to meet his 8-year old daughter at the offices.
She and her two siblings where present when the shooting took place.
North West police spokesperson, Pelonomi Makau, has the detail.
