'Rambo squad' bail application postponed for verdict─── 16:53 Fri, 14 Feb 2014

Bloemfontein - The bail application of four Ficksburg police constables accused of carrying out numerous attacks on communities in the town has been postponed for verdict today.
These four are dubbed the Rambo squad and are currently facing 20 charges ranging from assault to kidnapping. Eight people have thus far laid complaints against them and another fresh assault complaint led to their bail application being remanded last week.
Samson Pokedi, Johannes Sefatsa, Matthews Radebe and Stephen Molete were first arrested in August last year. Twelve of their colleagues were also arrested last month for defeating the ends of justice.
Allegations are that these twelve witnessed the assaults, but did not intervene. Judgement on their bail application will be delivered on Wednesday.
