Kuruman - Advanced negotiations between Cosatu and the Joe Morolong Road Forum are currently underway in bid to relocate matric pupils to a special camp in the John Taolo Gaetsewe District, so they can write their final exams.
Northern Cape education spokesperson Sydney Stander says they should have a clear indication of the way forward by Thursday.
Pupils at more than 50 schools in the Kuruman area have not attended school for more than two months, after violent protests over a road the community wants tarred, started.
Stander says at this stage, the department wants to see all schools re-opened.
