Fraud accused Lianné Greyling back in court today | News Article

Bloemfontein - A fraud accused Bloemfontein woman is expected to appear in the city's Magistrate's court again today.

Lianné Greyling is facing 25 counts of fraud which stem from the import of luxury vehicles and motorcycles that she ordered for customers.

R5.2 million is believed to be involved.

During a previous court appearance the accused, who is married to Jean Greyling, who recently spent eight months in jail for setting alight a hall at Emoya Estate in Bloemfontein, was refused an application for Legal Aid. No reasons for the refusal were given.

The matter was referred to Legal Aid's head office for consolidation and a decision.

Greyling has meanwhile been advised to consider representing herself or seek alternative representation, should the decision not be in her favour.
