Motshekga to visit Kuruman on Wednesday | News Article

Kuruman - The minister of basic education, Angie Motshekga is expected to visit the troubled John Taolo Gaetsewe District, where no schooling has taken place for more than two months, next Wednesday.

This is the word from the Joe Morolong Road Forum’s spokesperson Kagisho Gaborokwe, after they met with the Northern Cape Education Department’s ministerial task team yesterday.
The community started with violent protests over a road they want tarred, after they allegedly were promised that the road will be tarred two years ago, but this never materialised.

Gaborokwe says they want to see pupils return to school, but they need the intervention of the minister to resolve the issue.
