'Civil service is smothering South Africa’s economy'─── SABRINA DEAN 07:52 Mon, 09 Feb 2015
Bloemfontein - Economist Dawie Roodt has described the civil service as a wet blanket that is smothering South Africa’s economy.
He was speaking in Bloemfontein during the launch at the weekend of a multi-million rand merger between French animal genetics company Evolution and local breeding specialists Taurus.
The launch of Taurus Evolution at Emoya Estate on Friday night was also attended by French ambassador to South Africa Elizabeth Barbier. She has hailed the cooperative as one that holds benefits for both South Africa and France.
