Fannie Mathebula faces charges of kidnapping, reckless driving, and malicious damage to state property. It’s alleged that Mathebula offered the children - two girls and a boy aged between 8 and 15, a lift to school and sped off with them. He was, however, stopped by traffic officials not too far from the scene, and the children were rescued. They were unharmed.
