#ANCFS still mum about Magashule’s position─── KATLEHO MORAPELA 14:18 Thu, 21 Dec 2017
ANC Free State’s lack of communication on Ace Magashule’s new position and who is now going to lead the province, shows a lack of leadership in the party’s structures.
According to M-Group’s Communication Specialist Spirit Monyobo, questions relating to the state of the province are mounting as the Premier and Chairperson positions are still under question. It is under speculation that Magashule’s provincial opponent, Thabo Manyoni, will stand a chance to be the new Free State Chairperson and that an interim Premier will be elected. Monyobo says the ANC leadership in the province should clarify these speculations and set the record straight. He says the party’s failure to do will fuel more controversy.
Meanwhile, the party in the province is being lambasted on social media for not communicating as to when Magashule will evacuate his provincial position and take office at Luthuli House, as well as who is likely to take the reigns. This, coupled with questions as to when an interim leadership will be appointed following the Free State High Court ruling which declared the Provincial Executive Committee (PEC) null and void.
Monyobo says the party should still communicate even if there is no final conclusion on these matters, as all eyes are on the province following the controversy on the SG position after Magashule defeated Senzo Mchunu.
Despite several attempts, ANC spokesperson, Thabo Meeko, is, however, still unavailable to answer some of OFM News’ enquiries.
