Rustenburg - All charges against the 2010 World Cup Coordinator from the Rustenburg Municipality have been withdrawn. Nketu Matima appeared before the Rustenburg Magistrate Court this morning on charges of fraud, theft and perjury. Matima was arrested in October last year following the alleged use of a Rustenburg Municipality vehicle without the owner's consent and further misleading the authorities with false information that the vehicle, an Opel Astra, burnt out. He allegedly furnished them with photographs of the wreckage, which was never found. Matima was also charged with defeating the ends of justice and was released on R1 000 bail during a previous court appearance.
