7-year old killed in suspected hit-and-run outside Bloemfontein─── 05:47 Mon, 07 Nov 2011
Bloemfontein - A boy believed to be 7 years old was killed in a suspected hit-and-run on Masike Street in Rocklands, outside Bloemfontein at around 7 o'clock last night. Paramedics found the boy lying in the street across from his home. It is not exactly clear what happened, as there was no vehicle on scene, but it is believed that the boy was crossing the street and was hit by a car. He was declared dead at the scene. Police were at the scene and are investigating the cause of the accident and the whereabouts of the vehicle that allegedly drove into the child.
