Trompsburg - The murder case against three men accused of killing an elderly couple on their farm in the Trompsburg district on Sunday was postponed in the town’s Magistrate’s Court Thursday.
The three men, aged between 27 and 28, will have a week to apply for legal aid before they appear again next Thursday.
Upon entering the courtroom, the accused were shouted at from the benches, with the farmers demanding that the accused look them in the eye. Lani Fouché reports:
The couple were allegedly beaten to death with an ax and a spade in their house on Sunday.
