Bloemfontein - The Department of Police, Roads and Transport will auction impounded cars in the Free State on May 28.
Some of these 2000 vehicles that were impounded since the year 2000, will be demolished.
The department's Mangaliso Xaba says the cars that will be crushed are those that no longer have any value. He says they have written letters to the owners but no one has come forward.
Most of the cars are at Qwa-Qwa, Welkom and Lengau testing station in Bloemfontein.
