While the reasons for Horner’s dismissal remain unconfirmed, the development has certainly got F1 fans talking. Judging by Red Bull’s recent performances on track, it’s clear that all has not been well behind the scenes.
The team confirmed the departure of their long-serving boss in a statement:

Concerns are mounting that reigning Formula 1 world champion Max Verstappen could leave Red Bull at the end of the season. The Dutch driver has recently been strongly linked with a move to Mercedes.
It’s no secret that all is not well within the Red Bull camp, and Wednesday’s sacking of Horner only reinforces that perception.

This unexpected development has reignited speculation about Verstappen’s future, although some believe the leadership change could be a last-ditch attempt to convince him to stay.
The next stop on the calendar is the 2025 Belgian Grand Prix, taking place from 25 to 27 July at the iconic Spa-Francorchamps circuit.
