Griquas opt for continuity for the SA Cup final─── MORGAN PIEK 14:32 Fri, 24 May 2024
“In a final you've got to use your opportunities. I think there's three things that stand out for me. Obviously, in finals 99% of the time it's won by the team that defends the best. We have to make sure the defence is on point. “
The Suzuki Griquas will want to make the most of the opportunities on offer when they face the Pumas tomorrow in the final of the SA Cup in Kimberley.
With it being a final there will be a lot of pressure on both teams and it will also be important to collect every point on offer.
It comes as no surprise that the Griquas opted for continuity for the game and they named an unchanged starting XV for the game.
They have also opted to name three backs on the bench with Tertius Kruger coming into the squad, while Dylan Sjoblom makes way.
The Griquas coach Pieter Bergh told OFM Sport that they have focussed on three things for the final.
“In a final you've got to use your opportunities. I think there's three things that stand out for me. Obviously, in finals 99% of the time it's won by the team that defends the best. We have to make sure the defence is on point.
“Then we must also make sure that don't concede a lot of penalties and our discipline must be on point, and then when you get an opportunity you have to use it. That was the focus this week. “
