Pieter du Preez, who won South Africa’s last gold medal at the Tokyo Paralympic games, and also nominated for the Laureus World Sports Award for Sportsperson of the Year with a Disability in 2016, said that more can be done to celebrate our local Paralympians.
Rienhardt Hamman, who won a gold medal at the 2016 Paralympic games in the T38 category, explained why it is so important to celebrate our Paralympic athletes.
Ultimately, Louzanne Coetzee, who won a silver and bronze medal at the Tokyo Paralympic Games, shared some words of inspiration for future Paralympic stars.
