As reported by The Mirror, Bridal boutique owner Kasia, of Kasia's Bridal, took to TikTok to explain the devastating mix-up which meant that one of her customers was left without a dress for her special day.

She explained that she received a call from a stressed groom on the verge of tears, bizarrely asking to reorder his wife-to-be's wedding dress, keeping everything the exact same.

The shop owner was baffled, but when an explanation was given, things began to fall into place.

The original dress had been stored for safekeeping in her mum's wardrobe so that it wouldn't be spotted before the big day.

However, a mortifying mix-up had taken place, and the groom had buried his fiancée's gran in the wedding dress by mistake.

The Nan had requested she was buried in her own wedding dress, which caused the muddle as the man and the bride's brother picked out the wrong dress from the wardrobe, not knowing any better.

Unfortunately, because it was so close to the wedding, the manufacturer explained the new dress wouldn't come in time, especially because it needed customisations and alterations.

Kasia explained: "Just being guys, they didn’t know any better, they didn’t know there were multiple wedding dresses in the closet. "The pair dropped it off at the funeral home at thought nothing else of it.

"So now we’re on a mad hunt to get this dress because the bride does not know that this dress is buried six feet under with grandma."

Any bride knows how much time effort and money goes into finding the perfect wedding dress, so when the bride found out she was understandably upset.

However, everything worked out in the end since the boutique found a different dress that the bride loved - and the old dress may have been too small anyway as she found out she was pregnant before the big day.

"She was thrilled by getting a new dress," Kasia added.
