Today has been magical with the sound of the OFM Top 100 for 2017. Let’s recap the top 10 of the OFM Top 100 for 2017.

10. Pink – What About Us

What a major anthem this song has been throughout the year. A powerful balled to which fans and anyone who listened to the song can relate to. With its deep lyrics and powerful melody, Pink’s What About Us made its way onto the OFM Top 100 of 2017 10th position.

9.  Starley – Call On Me

A brand new artist who has made such an impact on the OFM playlist this year. Starley’s Call On Me has been one of the most played songs on the Sound Of Your Life’s playlist this year, and it is not about to change any time soon.

8. Kygo Ft. Selena Gomez – It Ain’t Me

She sings it isn’t she, but it is alright! Selena Gomez had a phenomenal music year, and this was one of her biggest for 2017. The song appeared on the OFM Top 10@10, The Global Top 20, @Work Networks and now position 8 on the OFM Top 100. What a thing!

7. Charlie Finch – If I Ever Let You Down

What an amazing artist Charlie Finch has been! A brand new South African artist making his way onto every radio station’s playlist possible in South Africa. With a great voice and an amazing pop sound, this was definitely one of the OFM listeners’ favourite local tracks for 2017.

6. The Chainsmokers & Coldplay – Something Just Like This

This single exploded across the globe! But there is certainly no doubt as to why! The Chainsmokers and Coldplay are both big international artists, and what better way to combine that amazing talent to do a powerful collaboration. This song was heard in every radio station, restaurant, shop and car at some point in 2017. A great dance track that still gets me into the dance mood and this song will definitely get you into a great mood on any given day.

5. Die Heuwels Fantasties – Bietjie Hoop

A song specially written for the well-known agri group GWK. OFM has also done a tour through central South Africa with the band after the release of the song. In just a matter of hours, this song was on everybody’s lips throughout the country, and has made a huge impact in the local music industry for sure. Hence they worked their way into the 5th position of the OFM Top 100.

4. Julia Michaels – Issues

She might have some issues, but there were definitely no issue putting her in the 4th position for sure. A slow tempo’d, but powerful song, also a first for the artist herself, has made its way into the hearts of about every single individual across the globe. Also one of the most requested songs by OFM listeners.

3. Luis Fonsi Ft. Daddy Yankee & Justin Bieber – Despacito

To this day, I still have no idea what they are singing (apart from what I have heard thus far). Despacito topped charts and broke records everywhere it was played. Also being one of the longest charting songs on the Global Top 30. With a total of over 4.5 billion views on YouTube, it certainly is a well-deserved 3rd place for the OFM Top 100.

2. Kahn Morbee – A Girl Named Paris

This is one of the biggest South African tracks of 2017. Kahn Morbee, lead singer of the well-known band The Parlotones, has made it possible to go solo and create one of the biggest South African tracks. The single also featured on the OFM Top 10@10 and Top 5 South African tracks on The Global Top 30.

1. Ed Sheeran – Shape Of You

This song is without a doubt the BIGGEST single of 2017 across the globe. It spent some 47 weeks on The Global Top 30, 2.8 billion views on YouTube and also having the most spins by a song on the OFM playlist in 2017, there is no better single to put as the number 1 song of the OFM Top 100 of 2017.
