Emergency Medical Services (EMS) spokesperson in the province, Sipho Towa, tells OFM News that the stationary truck had been involved in an accident earlier this morning and had not been removed from the scene as yet. Towa could not provide additional details on the accident pertaining to the truck, he did, however, provide clarity on the bus crash which left a few passengers with moderate to minor injuries. He says one person was transported to Busamed Harrismith Private Hospital while four other people were treated on the scene for their minor injuries. There were no fatalities reported. The bus was headed in the direction of Heidelberg when the accident occurred.

The bus line is yet to comment on the incident. This is still a developing story.
