Bloemfontein - Heinrich Isaacks has been training with Bloemfontein Celtic since last week, following his departure from Maritzburg United at the end of the previous Premier Soccer League season.
Maritzburg opted not to extent Isaacks's stay, after making 18 appearances in all competitions for the club.
The former Sonderjysk Elitesport’s (Denmark) striker joined the Pietermaritzburg team in 2012/13 season, but failed to cement his place in Steve Komphela’s starting line-up.
He scored three league goals towards the end of the season, but that was not enough to see his contract renewed.
Phunya Sele Sele are also looking to bring back Letladi Madubanya, who was released by Wits at the end of last season.
The former AmaZulu midfielder spent two seasons in Bloemfontein after he was signed from SuperSport United in 2011.
During his time with Celtic, the 30-year-old made 40 appearances, scoring seven goals.
Meanwhile, the side are also doing all they can to retain the services of striker, Frank Mhango, despite a growing demand from other PSL outfits.
Kaizer Chiefs are amongst teams targeting the services of the 21-year old Malawian, however, Celtic manager, John Maduka, believes the speedy forward is not ready for a move.
“Let him play at least another season or two at Celtic and maybe after that he can move, but not now. It would be too early for him to move right now. He’s still at Celtic for this season," says Maduka.
Siwelele are preparing for the inaugural Charity Showdown that will be played on July 19 at the Wits stadium. They will compete against Wits, AmaZulu and Black Aces.
