What’s new in Farmer’s Weekly? | News Article

In our Friday insert only on Before Dawn, OFM News’ Christal-Lize Muller speaks to the editor of Farmer's Weekly, Denine Erasmus, about what to expect in their latest edition.

Erasmus highlights the news stories in the 14 June issue of Farmer’s Weekly which includes a story about the recent Royal Show and the Annual Champion Beef Carcass Sale where the winning carcasses achieved a record price of R200 per kg. She says the buyer was the Oyster Box Hotel in KwaZulu-Natal. There is a story about the recent Nut Council Congress in the USA and the good news that emerged from the congress that Macadamia and Pecan farmers can expect prices to strengthen as the year continues. The magazine also reports back on the North West Red Meat Producer Organisation’s annual conference where the need for a livestock traceability system was discussed.

That was Denine Erasmus, editor of Farmer's Weekly, on OFM. To listen to this insert again, go to ofm.co.za, click on News, Agriculture, and Before Dawn. To listen to these inserts again go to ofm.co.za, click on News, Agriculture and Before Dawn.
