NC female entrepreneur turn disadvantage into victory─── 06:43 Wed, 28 Aug 2019
Tshidi Pharage from Warrenton was recently elected as the overall winner of the Female Entrepreneur Awards hosted by the Northern Cape Department of Agriculture, Land Reform, and Rural Development.
She farms with cattle and goats, but things haven’t always been too rosy for this young 23-year-old go-getter. Due to her health, Pharage was not able to complete her high school education. Fortunately, she was able to secure a loan from her father and putting her enterprising spirit to use, she started her own farm.
Pharage will compete with winners from other provinces in the national Female Entrepreneur Awards to be hosted in Cape Town tomorrow.
Pharage’s farm is called Ipele Mosadi or The Proud Woman.
