What is new in Farmer’s Weekly?─── CHRISTAL-LIZE MULLER 05:23 Fri, 06 Sep 2019
In our Friday insert, only on Before Dawn, OFM News’ Christal-Lize Muller speaks to the deputy editor of Farmer’s Weekly, Janine Ryan, about what to expect in their latest edition of Farmer’s Weekly…
She says some of the interesting features this week in the magazine includes an article about the importance of protecting biodiversity on farms. South Africa is one of the greatest biodiversity hotspots in the word, but urbanisation, climate changes threaten the future of species and habitat in the country. In another article the magazine focuses on a commercial piggery in KwaZulu-Natal, looking at the importance of animal welfare and the importance of a profitable operation. There is also a focus on the National Crop Estimate Committee’s latest report on the summer and winter production of crops.
