The ANC in the Northern Cape has emphasised a so-called expropriation list which is widely distributed on social media should be put in context.
The list contains the names of farms (30), as well as land owned by commercial farmers on the list. Naledi Gaosekwe, spokesperson of the ANC in the Northern Cape, says the party’s provincial structure is in the process of conducting an audit of all privately and state owned land in the province.
This is to ensure that once the process of Amending Section 25 of the Constitution making room for expropriation of land without compensation, is completed, the ANC will be able to speedily ensure that land in the Northern Cape is distributed.
