CUT expected to resume academic activities on Monday─── 07:15 Sun, 18 Jul 2021

The Central University of Technology (CUT) is expected to resume its academic activities on Monday after recent student protests which resulted in an earlier recess period.
According to a statement issued by CUT, management has worked tirelessly in collaboration with stakeholders - including both Student Representative Councils (SRCs) - in ensuring that challenges that led to these protests were resolved during the recess period.
CUT Vice-Chancellor Henk de Jager stated that the management has a responsibility to safeguard the academic year, ensure the safety of students and staff, and also to protect campus property.
He further promised that they will continue to work together with the CUT council and other stakeholders to promote positive dialogue and also ensure that the 2021 academic year continues smoothly.
