Three suspects, including one healthcare worker, will appear before the Boshof Magistrate's Court for a formal bail application on Thursday.
The Matshidiso Gabriel Makoko (51), employed at Emergency Medical Services, as well as Josa Vakele Bonane (42) and Moeketsi Ishmael Nonyane (28) were arrested after they were found in possession of ARV tablets at a mall in Kenneth Kaunda Road, Helicon Heights, in Bloemfontein.
According to the Free State police spokesperson, Stephen Thakeng, different types of antiretrovirals, such as Tribuss, Sonke Efavirenz, Heftenam, Kovatrax, Teevir, Kavilmum Paed, Odimune, Lamivude, and Reydin were confiscated. The preliminary investigation revealed that the medicine was stolen during a break-in at a clinic in Boshof.
