The ladies in matric are putting immense pressure on the guys. They don’t want a simple text or face to face “will you be my dance partner”, they want a ‘’promposal”.

A promposal is a unique, yet expensive way a guy asks a girl to be his partner. This could include balloons, flowers, puzzles, signs and other really expensive items. It is definitely a dress rehearsal for a marriage proposal.

According to Seventeen here are some promposals that any girl would love:

• Cheesy pizza pun – where you would buy a pizza and write a message on the lid of the box.
• The royal promposal – where you come with a poster saying “Every princess needs a prince, so prom?”
• The romantic candles – where you place candles spelling word PROM?
• Balloons – where you fill her room with her favourite colour balloons.

However, guys do not understand the impact that a promposal could have on the rest of their lives. If your promposal is successful, one thing is certain, you will have to top it for the real thing.

So parents, remember from here on out, promposals need to be part of the budget.
