Bloemfontein - An urgent court application overturning a decision by the Mangaung Metro to evict Botshabelo residents from their homes has been granted.
High Court Judge Lepono Lekale ruled late yesterday afternoon that the four families may return to their properties.
Police and the Mangaung Metro started evicting the families from Section H2 in Botshabelo at around 05:00 yesterday, saying the land was purchased illegally. The properties were demolished and furniture confiscated, allegedly without notice.
