Matric exams running smoothly in NW, premier expects top three position─── 05:27 Fri, 04 Nov 2016
Rustenburg - Matric examinations in the North West province are running smoothly without any irregularities reported, premier Supra Mahumapelo said on Thursday.
“Matric exams in the province are going very well. We have no problems so far, no leakage, no complaint and it is our hope as the province that we'll continue to be in the top three position in the country, irrespective of us not having resources when you compare us to Gauteng and Western Cape…,” he said
A total number of 35,397 matric learners were writing exams in the North West at 399 centres across the province.
The North West obtained the fourth position among provinces in terms of the matric pass rate in 2015. In 2013 and 2014, the province obtained the second position.
