Bothaville - The gates have opened for this year’s Nampo Harvest Day in Bothaville. Highlights include 4x4 demonstrations, the popular farming patents competition and the first ever South African ploughing competition. A study conducted by the University of the Free State showed that in 2009, exhibitors and organisers of the annual event spent nearly R10 million in Bothaville and surrounding towns. Johan Loxton, Grain South Africa's manager of commercial services, says Nampo has grown substantially since then which translates into an even larger boost for the local economy.
