OFM News’ agri editor, Sabrina Dean, speaks to Brangus SA Breed Director, John Rafferty, for an update on the breed society’s Torch of Hope tour, which is currently travelling thousands of kilometres across South Africa.
Recent highlights include farmers’ days at Potchefstroom and Frankfort, the handover of a bull at Frankfort, dosing of cattle along the route, education of cattle owners and more.
The tour moves to Vryburg on Friday and Phomolong near Hennenman on Saturday. The tour will culminate in the World Brangus Congress taking place in the Free State from 9 May.
