He said the farming industry should never look down on itself, as this industry is a large player in the field. He urged the industry to be more aggressive in its communication skills and engagement with government. There are some commercial farmers who already play an important part in assisting black farmers, who have the heart for the industry. He applauds these farmers and urge the commercial land owners to consider disposing some portion of their land to these farmers.

With regards to the land issue in South Africa, he said it is not late for farming communities and land owners to come up with a plan that will result in both black and white people saying, I'm not a hundred percent satisfied because something that I believe was rightfully mine was taken away from both sides.

He is of the opinion that the land issue will never come back to destabilise our country, but it doesn't matter were the constitutional processes are at this stage (expropriation without compensation) if no amendments have taken place yet, it is important that all roleplayers must take a stance.
