A video, involving Free State police officers, that looks like a scene from the international blockbuster movie Fast & Furious, is currently trending on social media.
A police-branded golf 6 GTI and a police van are seen drifting inside the circle on State Way road near the Goldfields Mallin Welkom in pursuit of what is believed to be a suspect in his car. Police officers emerge from the speeding car and firearms are drawn. Free State police spokesperson, Motantsi Makhele, has confirmed the video was taken during a police exercise in 2013 by the Welkom Flying Squad.He says it was not linked to any incident.
