Free State Eye and Laser Centre has clinics in Bloemfontein, Kroonstad and Welkom. They also receive referrals from all over South Africa to help people achieve perfect unaided vision, without the need for glasses.

What is unaided vision?

This means to have perfect vision of 100% for distance and reading without the aid of glasses, contact lenses or even reading glasses. This is possible. With the help of modern technology Free State Eye and Laser Centre can do either LASIK laser surgery or multifocal lens implants.

What is important to remember?

Not everyone is a candidate for LASIK or multifocal lens implants. To determine whether a client is a candidate for LASIK or multifocal lenses, Free State Eye and Laser Center takes pictures of your eyes' thickness and shape to determine if you are candidate for the procedure.

In general, younger patients between the age of 20 and 40 years, without cataracts and the need for reading glasses, are usually candidates for LASIK.

Multifocal lenses are usually the option for patients older than 40 years that need reading glasses and have started to develop cataracts.

To determine whether you are a candidate, book an appointment at Free State Eye and Laser Center.

You can contact Free State Eye and Laser Centre at 051 011 8848 or visit their website where you can read the reviews from the thousands of patients that they have helped to get rid of their glasses for good.

Yolanda Maartens spoke to Dr. Niel Van Wyk, ophthalmologist, refractive surgeon, director and founder of Free State Eye and Laser Centre, to find out more about how they can help you. Listen here:
