Angry ANC members burn ANC regalia after Magashule's expulsion – VIDEO─── LUCKY NKUYANE 09:31 Sat, 17 Jun 2023

A group of disgruntled ANC members has reacted with anger to the expulsion of former Free State Premier and ANC Secretary-General (SG) Ace Magashule.
Scores of what seemed to be party members from Magashule's hometown – Tumahole in Parys – were seen burning ANC regalia in videos and pictures shared widely on social media. The videos and pictures of such incidents surfaced on Friday 16 June 2023.
Magashule was expelled by the ANC National Disciplinary Committee this week after he was found guilty of bringing the party into disruption.
Meanwhile, the ANC's spokesperson in the Fezile Dabi Region, Sello Pietersen, said the party has noted an incident by a group of people who were burning ANC T-shirts.
Pietersen said they are convinced that the majority of those involved are not ANC members and they are aware of a few members of the organisation who took an active part in this incident and the necessary internal disciplinary processes of the organisation will ensue with immediate effect.

"This is reportedly in protest of the constitutional decision of the ANC to expel its former Secretary-General, Mr Ace Magashule. We are fully aware of the intentions of this group, which is to create confusion amongst our people. We are confident that loyal and disciplined members of the ANC understand and accept the democratic and constitutional outcomes of the National Disciplinary Committee."
He said they call on all disciplined members of the ANC to remain focused and not be distracted by what he terms "agent provocateurs" and that the party's task is to ensure that it continues to serve the people.
"In conclusion, we would like to take this opportunity to remind members of the ANC of the oath that they have taken, which proclaims that they have joined the organisation voluntarily and committed to serve as loyal members, carry out tasks given to them and defend the unity and the integrity of the organisation and its principles," Pietersen added.
